Annoying ad comes up directly after booting

Everytime my iMac boots up this "reminder" comes up:

User uploaded file

I first looked in the console, searched for KPN and found the following message:

06/07/15 12:43:13,758 UserEventAgent[38]: Captive: [CNInfoNetworkActive:1709] en1: SSID 'KPN Fon' not making interface primary (no cache entry)

)

It is not a Safari window or from any other program I normally use, and what's puzzling me is that it stays in front of all the other programs that I open. My system is up to date :

****

I also tried to find a solution on the Apple support page "Remove unwanted adware that displays pop-up ads and ..." but found it not very helpful.

How can I get rid of this pop-up screen?

Thanks in advance.

One of your login items may be causing the problem. Select the Login Items tab in the Users & Groups pane of System Preferences. Delete any items that you don't recognize. If you're not sure which ones to delete, double-click each to test it.

To avoid confusion, note that checking or unchecking the box next to a login item does not inactivate it. You have to delete the item from the list.

You came to the same conclusion as I did, but the solution was not so obvious to me. So the Network-pane in System preferences had the right answer. Being already connected via Ethernet I just deleted the network, made a re-boot and all works fine.

I fully agree with your philosophy to use the tools available within OS X, and not to download something which "might help" but more often than not introduces more crap in OS X.

Thanks for your help. Sorry for this misguiding title of my question: english is not my native language.
