viewing audiobooks

ah, lovely iTunes 12... WHY did they have to go and mess up what used to work just fine??

my problem, oh gurus, is that I can only view my audiobooks if I go to the "Audiobooks" view.

But, what works best for me is to group them by author. However, when I go to the "Author" view, I can only see the list of authors, but none of the books under them.

How to I get a view that lets me group my audiobooks under the authors, while letting me see the list of each author's books?
