Since iOS 8.4 update, iPhone 5S orientation is not working

Updated iPhone 5S to 8.4 (12H143). Since then, the orientation (portrait/landscape) has not been working as intended or as worked previously.

This symptom is apparent in Videos (the absolute most annoying, since I cannot modify the orientation when they are synced), Photos and email.

I have done everything but restore my iPhone (power off, reset, check applicable settings).

When I took the videos, the orientation was in landscape. When I synced to iMac, they are now in portrait.

This is extremely disappointing since I have nearly 100 teaching/training videos taken at an event yesterday that are completely useless.
