Good Morning,
After the last update my mid 2012 15' macbook got the X in the battery icon and give me the message "No battery available".
I tried to reset the SMC but it didn't work.
Any Suggestion?
MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)
Open System Information>Power and post this from your MBP:
(make certain that your charger is connected)
It will not hurt to reset the SMC a few more times.

How do i verify if SMC was reset?
The MBP does not see a battery. The battery can be totally dead, or disconnected. Open up the MBP and check the battery connection.
If you cannot detect a fault in the connection, then you will have to make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar for a FREE evaluation.

I opened my macbook, and mess around with the screws and it worked.
