Very odd/annoying and this did not seem to happened with previous version of FCP X. I Shared a video as H.264 and it came out very dark in VLC and Video (looking at it on same screen). Anyone know what is going on?
I am using FCP X 10.2.1.

What does "Video" stand for in "VLC and Video"?
Does it look that way in Quicktime Player as well? Did it play ok in FCP X?
What were your export settings exactly?
I'm not seeing that kind of a result here.
In addition to Luis' request for your export settings, What is your system configuration?

Sorry, meant VLC and Vimeo. I am exporting from FCP X (not compressor) H.264 Faster Encode. I have tried 1920*1080 and 854*480.
My system is a i5 3.3Ghz. 16GB ram. Yosemite.
Was wondering if there was a simple way or reinstalling Quicktime and checking there are no plugins.
I do have Perian installed.
These differences can sometimes be related to discrepancies in gamma values or monitor profiles. Do you have any custom color sync profile selected in Preferences->Displays? Just wild guessing here, it may be that some of these programs handle these color profiles a little differently.
QuickTime 7 can be downloadedand installed separately. To reinstall QT X, you'd need to remittal reinstall OS X.
It would be helpful to know some details about your system.

OK this is interesting. FCPX, Quicklime and Vimeo (Safari) look fine. VLC and Vimio (Firefox) all come out dark and over saturated. Guess the OS developers have not caught up to colour management in Yosemite.
Think this has solved my problems.
