How would you save a photo from a clip in the FCP Library?

    You would open the clip – either in a project or clip timeline – park your playhead over the frane of choice and share>current frame.

    If you don't see Save Current Frame in the Share popup, use Add Destinations to add it as an option. You can share the current frame directly from the event browser.

    You may already know this but your photoshop people won't: a still image from FCPX is never any larger than the source video. If you're shooting 4k, that may be enough pixels but you may have been shooting at 1/30th and have some image smear. If you're shooting 1080 you can't do much with that still image, at 300dpi, it's only about 6 inches tall.
