Q: Syncing messages with iPhone, iPad and 2 Macs
Here's the situation. I have an iPhone 5S and an iPad 4, both on iOS 8.4. I also have two Macs, a Mid-2010 iMac (27", 3.6 GHz i5, 12 Gig RAM) and an early 2011 MacBook Pro (15", 2.0 GHz i7, 4 Gig RAM), both running OS X.10.4. iMessage (Messages) doesn't sync messages between the iOS devices and the Macs. In fact, sometimes I will get a message on my iPhone, but I'll never see it on the Macs. This isn't good, because I will use all 4 devices/computers to message, and I need all the messages on the iOS devices to show up on my Macs, as I often text from the Macs if I am on them. Any ideas on how to set this up?
Thanks in advance.

I was having the same issue, but only after updating OS X from 10.10.3 to 10.10.4 and iOS (on my iPhone 6) from 8.3 to 8.4.
It seems one, if not both, of those two updates turned off "Text Message Forwarding" in iOS.
