iTunes Not Responding

I have a mac OS X 10.9.5 and my iTunes app is not responding. It continues to jump up and down on the dock and never opens. I have already uninstalled and re-installed 3 times. I have also cleaned my computer and repaired my disk under disk utilities, where it said the iTunes app was missing ACL or ALC ( I cannot remember which order the letters were in). After the disk repair stated this it took it about 30minutes to repair the app. Once it was done I verified disk and restarted my computer but the iTunes app is still not working. Is there anything else I can do to fix this problem?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Early 2011), OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)
