How can I share a folder in iCloud drive with another iCloud user?

How can I share a folder in iCloud drive with another iCloud user? I have a folder with files too large to email to another user. I want to share the files in the same manner that one uses in Dropbox and other cloud services. Does iCloud offer similar sharing services?

Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

iCloud does not provide this facility. You could use Airdrop provided you are both using Yosemite. (Please amend your signature - you obviously aren't using 10.6.4).
