I downloaded Yosemite and now I cannot receive or send messages (texts) from Mac

I haven't changed anything else expect for I downloaded OS X Yosemite and my computer restarted. Since then, all sent messages from Mac appear to have "failed" and I cannot receive any messages on Mac either. Please help!

If the problem is that cellular text messages are not sent or received via your iPhone, follow the instructions in this support article, under the heading

To use Continuity for SMS and MMS with your iPhone and your Mac, iPad or iPod touch
