Why is my iPhone Photos app showing extra panoramas?

I just got finished editing some screenshots of text, basically just cropping out whatever info I didn't need, and I ended up with some tall shots and some wide ones. After syncing my iPhone to my computer I noticed some of the shots I had just edited were showing up in the panorama folder of my iPhone's Photos app. The app now displays some of the shots I have with about a paragraph of text and other shots which are columns of text but displayed on their side as if they were a panoramic picture. It would be nice to know if there is a way to prevent this from happening so my screenshots don't get mixed in with my actual panoramic pictures. Thanks in advance.

Specs: iPhone 6 128gb running iOS 8.3

P.S. This only occurs in the Photos app on my iPhone, not on my Macbook.
