IOS 8.4, volume slider gone in Music

I just updated to IOS 8.4, now when I go into the new Music, there is no volume slider on screen. I can still adjust it with the side buttons but what happened to the on screen slider? How do I get it back?

Click on the player bar at the botton & the album will come up including the volume bar.

True, and I already found that option. However, it doesn't seem to be possible anymore to adjust the volume while focussing on a playlist? Because now I have to adjust the volume, and go back to the playlist to change the piece I'm listening to. As a lecturer of music history this was a very relevant option for me in the previous version of the music app for iOS. Hope there is a solution!
