I imported a playlist from my earlier itunes setup into a fresh 12.2 build. I find I cannot now select all in a playlist and do any editing like set Rating for all the playlist songs to 4. What gives?

Select the playlist
Select all songs (Command A).
Right click > Rating - 4 stars.
Thanks for the reply Chris. But in the latest iTunes release 12.2 that operation is not possible. You can do all of those steps but Rating is not in the right-click menu. Quite an oversight Apple!
I do see that it is possible on my MBP running the latest Version. And I see the Rating feature visible in the click menu now that I rated some songs on my iphone and synced to itunes. So I think Rating is still there. And also so that I could choose to show only stars instead of those stupid hearts. But now I have a larger issue as upon restart of itunes I see it has flushed my music library. Thanks
I had this issue and found the fix. In iTunes, go to Edit / Preferences, then you'll see "Ratings." There are three choices: Stars, Loves, and Stars & Loves. After you choose your preferred option, it appears in the menus.
