i cannot sync music and photo from iTunes to my iPhone 5 after i upgrade to iOS 8.4

The same thing is happening to me and it's only been an issue since the most recent iOS update for my iPhone 6. iTunes on my mac looks like it's about to copy items, and it starts, and then it just stops, and none of the new music gets copied to my iPhone 6.
