itunes remote not seeing library

Updated to the most recent itunes software, and I have no issue seeing my library on itunes when using my PC. When I use the remote app on my iphone now though, only 35 songs show up compared to the thousands I have. When I go to a playlist, the other songs are there and I can remote play it...but once I leave the playlist, I can no longer search for that song using the remote app. I tried moving a different past library file over and it is still doing the same thing. I also have itunes match. Any thoughts?
