Since upgrading to Itunes 12.2 iTunes match is no longer available!

Since upgrading to Itunes 12.2 iTunes match is no longer available. i am unable to upload new songs in my library! I have NOT enabled Apple Music or started the trial. I just want the service i am paying for (iTunes Match)! what has happened to iTunes match? i would like to try the Apple Music service but i am fearful that if i don't continue with apple music after the trial my library, playlists and ability to use tunes match will not be the same? Searching the web there are stories of peoples playlists going missing, libraries going missing, local copies of music being replaced with DRM copies! is there anyone out there that can categorically state that these are isolated incidents or just not true?????

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4), itunes v11.0.5

To start, as long as you keep iTunes Match subscribed, you won't have any problems with your existing music library that is stored in iTunes Match. The DRM format is only applicable if your running Apple Music. That will no longer be relevant should you ever cancel Apple Music. Sure the DRM music will disappear but that's expect as your inlay renting the music via that service. You would then revert back to using iTunes Match and download just as you have. As for your current issue with the 12.2 update, I'm experiencing similar issues and believe the servers are acting up with all the recent activity. iTunes on my Mac is working okay but uploading has been a problem the last few days. Overall, I see no reason Apple Music wool a hinder your future use of iTunes Match should you ever cancel Apple Music. Good luck.
