iOS 8.4 memory problem

since i updated my iphone to ios 8.4 the memory on my phone has been messed up. on my phone it says i have a few megabytes left but when you add up how much memory the apps use it doesn't equal the memory used number. i should have about 4 gigabytes left but my phone thinks i used them or something. when i sync it to itunes it knows i still have memory left but my phone doesn't. i have a 16 gig iphone 5s on ios 8.4

Restart your phone.
Sign out and back in to your account.
Try to reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on the phone.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
Press and hold on the Home button
Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.

Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings
