Q: My macbook air keeps on showing a lock with a password after I pressed the 'Option' key to fix up the flashing folder with a question mark?

My macbook air 11" keeps on showing a lock with a password, required to enter. Earlier, my MBA was flashing a folder with a '?' mark in it. Once I pressed the 'Option' key, the lock icon and password appeared. What do I do?!

MacBook Air (11-inch Mid 2013), OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)
