Q: All my devices are now clogged up with photos which seem to have downloaded with iCloud. I have turned it off now. Can I delete the photos form each device individually without losing them from my mac?

All my apple devices are now clogged up with photos which downloaded with iCloud sharing before I realised what was going on. I have turned iCloud sharing off on my devices now but the photos all remain. Can I delete them on my individual devices without losing them from my main library on my macbook pro?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

If you have iCloud Photos (My Photo Stream, iCloud Photo Library) disabled on your mobile devices, yes. Then you can delete the photos from your devices. The deletion cannot sync to your Mac.

But it is a good moment to make sure you have a recent backup of the Photos Library on your Mac, just in case.

Thank you! I do have everything backed up elsewhere so I'll start deleting!
