How do I see my previous workouts (like outdoor runs) that were tracked using my Apple Watch workout app?

I have been using the workout app on the Apple Watch, but I do not know where I can see previous workouts. I would also like to see where my heart rate was, the map of my run, etc. Where do I see this?

Apple Watch, iOS 8.4

Several questions there:

- For the data to be saved, you have to Save the workout at the end. When you finish the workout and tap the stop button, you get a summary. Scroll to the bottom (use the digital crown, or swipe the watch screen), and tap the Save button.

- Your workout information will now be synced to the Activity app on the iPhone for you to see a summary. All the detail is synced to the Health app on the phone

- Your average heart rate during the workout is part of the information synced to the phone Activity app; the individual heart rate measurements can be found in the health app

- The only way to get a map of the run at present is to use a 3rd party app, such as Runkeeper, on the phone. The watch doesn't have a GPS chip and, although the phone does, none of the Apple apps use it to create a map - only to measure distance

Thanks. I understand how to stop and save the activity at the end of the run. I can see the summary as I scroll down. I also see that the move calories and exercise goals in the activity app are appropriately updated. However, I cannot go back to last week and see how far I ran, what my average pace was, or what my heart rate was. Is that correct? Once I save the workout, all that data is just gone..??

It should all be in the Activity app on your phone.

I do have Runtastic and Runkeeper on my phone and watch. If I use these apps, does the Watch register the activity as "Exercise" in the activity app?

Thanks for your help.
