can't open meeting invite attachments…and sometimes meeting disappear...

I am having issues with meeting invite attachments from people using Microsoft outlook:

Some I am able to open just fine…I open the attachment, it takes me to the date and time of the meeting, I click apply and it sends an email to the person that I have accepted the meeting inviteI.
Others, I attempt to open and it takes me to my calendar on the current date…that's it. I have no idea what day the meet is…what time…nothing...
And…there are times that meetings just disappear….

This is utterly frustrating!!!

MAC Os X version 10.7.5

iPhone 6, iOS 8.3

There are a whole host of issues that can create that behavior. About 50% of the issues happen if your iOS device is connected to Microsoft Exchange server. The disappearing calendar events sound like a ActiveSync issue between your iPhone and the Exchange server. Those can usually be corrected by haveing your Exchange Admin remove any legacy ActiveSync devices attached to your email account.

Microsoft fixed it in Exchange 2016 (well, kind of...) http://windowsitpro.com/blog/microsoft-updates-exchange-activesync-ensure-mobile -clients-stay-connected
