I have a home router that is provided by Comcast (ARRIS), and an Airport Extreme for my wireless-have no idea what version.

Recently, I have had a new network pop up on my PC's wireless and my internet searches have crawled. I noticed its the same name as my network name, but with the number 2 at the end.

i did not set this up and had removed it from my PC's internet options, and it keeps coming back automatically.

Im thinking if I reset or reconfigure my network, maybe this will delete whoever is hacking in to my network?

Any help, would be great.

It would help if you can provide us with the model # of your AirPort Extreme. Is your Arris router also wireless capable? If so, is it providing a wireless network in addition to the AirPort Extreme?

Per chance do you have a Mac running OS X Yosemite and have connected it to your network?

ARRIS TG862 (Yes, its also a wireless router), Im not sure if it is providing, although now that you ask, I do see it in my list of available wireless networks. It has not done this before.

I run three laptops (two PC and one MacBook Pro), one iPad, and two Droids off the wireless network.

The MacBook Pro is a: Mac OS X. Version 10.7.5.

Thanks. That would be a 3rd generation 802.11n AirPort Extreme base station. These have been discontinued in late 2009, so if you had obtained it then it may be a bit "long in the tooth" and potentially problematic.

Yes, by default your Arris gateway device would provide both routing functions (NAT & DHCP services) and an 802.11n Wi-Fi network. I am assuming that your Arris is your "main" router and you have the Extreme connected directly to it by Ethernet. If those are both correct how do you have the Extreme configured? That is, is it configured as a roaming or extended network ... or something else?
