Q: compressor just sits there
Using compressor 4, I've had some issues where I'll bring in a DVC Pro HD movie, exported from FCP 7, to compress for YouTube. Compressor 4 goes thru the motions of beginning, but just sits there with a blank "time remaining" line. Is there a way to toss preferences or something?

Yes. But probably the easiest potential fix is to download and run digital Rebellion's Compressor Repair. Check the trash preference box.\
