I know that my ipod is in my house somewhere, as I never took it anywhere else. Can I play a sound on it?

My Ipod isnt showing up on the "find my ipod," but when I go into iCloud settings, it lists my ipod as an active device. Can I use this somehow?

iPod touch (5th generation), iOS 8.4

If it is showing offline, then the device is either powered off, or the battery is dead (which would also result in it being powered off), or it is not connected to the internet. Because of that, you would not be able to play a sound on the device. You would only be able to play a sound if the device is visible in Find My iPod, and online.
