I keep getting a message that I cannot back up because my iCloud storage doesn't have room. I deleted some pictures to try and make room but now when I go to check if it made a difference it still says the same amount of pictures and videos when I have deleted some. Please help

that's the thing. i have made space in my icloud storage but icloud its self will not refresh so it keeps saying i still have this many pictures when i have deleted a lot so it will not take up as much space
