New update on iTunes won't let me use it on old mac
Can anyone tell me how to uninstall the latest update of iTunes or do I need to uninstall the whole thing and reinstall an older version? My old mac is 10.7.

What are you trying to do exactly? iTunes won't install on a computer on which it won't run unless you really, really, really try hard to mess it up. 🙂
It's my old mac and I use it to download and burn cds to use to teach kickboxing because the other teacher has a ton. I turned it on yesterday and now it is saying it can't open because it isn't compatible with mac 10.7. I guess it updated but my old mac can't get any higher than leopard or lion, I forget which came first and my new doesn't have disc drive. I'm not sure how to fix it. Any thoughts?
If the iTunes installer is what you downloaded and it says it can't install then nothing has changed on the computer.
The current iTunes (12.2) requires OS X 10.7.5. If you have OS X 10.7 (Lion), then you can surely update it to OS X 10.7.5. Click the Apple Logo in the menu bar and then "Check for Updates".
Thanks Sberman! It worked.
Glad that solved it for you.
Please realize that OS X 10.7 (Lion) is now more than three years old. Newer versions of iTunes (past iTunes 12.2) may not be supported on Lion for very much longer. Anyway, it works for the current iTunes version.
Enjoy your Apple gear.
I figured bu this is my old computer so once it's done, it's done. I just needed it to burn some cds. Maybe I should've gone into IT instead of graphic design:) Thanks again!
