Air Drop Error Deleted Photos

I was transferring photos from my iphone to iPad using air drop. It came up with an error message and that was fine. I went to redo it and all the photos were deleted from my camera roll and photo stream. I am travelling, using only these two devices, and I'm absolutely devestated. How do I get them back? I am so upset. Please help. I have no access to a computer or iTunes.
