No option to edit on Apple ID Manage

No option to edit on Apple ID Manage

I have been trying to find a way to change my apple ID. For some reason, the edit option next to Apple ID and Primary Email does not appear.

This has been the provided means of changing an Apple ID.

Can someone help me resolve this? I want my ID changed and am willing to close the account but am not sure how to go about doing that either.

I have been fiddling with this for some time now and have found other discussions of no help.

Would be really great if someone could help resolve this for me.

If you are here > https://appleid.apple.com/account/manage - and you do not see this ( "Edit" in the GREEN rectangle)

then you should:

try a different browser
try on a different device

When posting issues here, you should follow Apple's advice, snuggled discretely onto the New Question page (note that the "blue triangle" is NOT down to begin with)

Have you followed these directions:

Change your Apple ID - Apple Support

I did that a couple of months ago and it was quick and easy.
