Why is Genius not working or available in the iTunes update 12.2?

iTunes on my iMac has been update to version 12.2. However, the Genius functions are not available. I am logged into my account. The Genius functions, "Update Genius" and "Turn Off Genius," even though it is not on, are both grayed out. I also had to restore my library by replacing the new library with previous. This did not affect the Genius functions. As I had the same issue when I first updated. Please help.
