Why is images/video on my TV blurry after connecting MBP via DVI

Hi,

I recently bought a DVI-mini display port cable to sync my MBP onto my TV. My TV is able to mirror my desktop however everything (images, videos, fonts) are blurry. I tried all the different resolutions under Arragements but nothing seems to work.

I am starting to wonder if it is my TV's fault? My TV is 10 years old (bought in 2005, Hitachi). I'm looking on the TV manual and I see a "Picture-In-Picture Modes" chart and it shows 1080i. My TV does not have an HDMI outlet.

My MBP is 13-inch, early 2011, version 10.10.3.

Thanks so much everyone, really appreciate it 🙂
