Title says it all really, I need to duplicate a drummer track before converting it to MIDI so I can keep the original before editing.
But when I click on the Drummer track, the duplicate '+' becomes greyed out - is there a way to do this?

You don't have to duplicate the drummer track to do that. You can copy the drummer regions to a software instrument track directly, just select all regions and option-drag them.

Just one question. When I option drag, the little arrows make it seem like it's a kind of ghost copy, not a full copy.
I can see all the notes in the step editor and they trigger sounds but it looks a little odd - does this look correct to you?
Well, two things are very odd here. First, I was sure I uploaded an animated GIF showing the copying process, and second you appear to have aliases and not copied regions. And you get aliases when you shift-option drag. You just need to option drag, NOT shift-option drag.
You're totally right, I was using OPT + SHFT out of habit - thanks heaps!
