iTunes Match had a similar problem initially.

Aug 13, 2015 2:09 PM in response to DigitalDougieby edmonn,This really needs to be fixed. It's a ridiculous bug. I Have to turn my phone to flight mode every single day. Otherwise it pauses all the time during my commute. No one at Apple support seems to understand this problem and they just ask me to do the standard procedure: reset the phone.
I hope it gets fixed soon. It's annoying and it makes me wanna switch back to Spotify as soon as my trial period is over.

Aug 14, 2015 7:02 AM in response to edmonnby Mostovoym,iOS 8.4.1 is out and fixes apple musics bugs.
Surprise, surprise: the pausing problem persists.
going back to spotify. Even free, it doesn't worth the fight.

Aug 14, 2015 7:31 AM in response to Mostovoymby chinoLatte,The solution to enable cellular use for the Music app does not fix the problem.
I'm a little surprised this problem isn't a bigger deal yet. I've called apple support a few times about this and they don't acknowledge of the bug's existence. I've actually had one rep tell me "You're listening to APPLE Music, not your own music" as if it was a valid explanation.

Aug 14, 2015 4:33 PM in response to DigitalDougieby Clintwin,Enabling cellular for music doesn't fix it. Here in New York, we ride around in a hole in the ground, and go in and out of cellular coverage. I have wifi turned off when I'm on the train. I agree with some other posters that Apple has until the three-month trial is over to fix this or I'm taking a hike.

Aug 19, 2015 5:11 AM in response to Clintwinby bk256-1,Same problem here. Extremely annoying. Here is what I have found in my situation. Over wifi, the music pauses randomly. This happens with my iPhone or on my Mac. Same exact thing, pauses randomly. When I run Pandora or Spotify, I have no issues at all. This, to me, tends to rule out a poor wifi connection.
When I turn OFF wifi and connect to cellular (Verizon), the music works perfectly. Why does Apple music work poorly over wifi when other services work fine?
I hope this gets fixed soon or my free trial will end and so will my subscription.

Aug 19, 2015 8:14 AM in response to bk256-1by chrysbar,I had the same problem, and after reading a lot about this glitch, I called Apple Support and talked to a senior guy after dealing with someone who had no clue. He asked me to reinitilallize the iPhone like a new one, (then to restore it using a back-up) and upgrade it to 8.4.1 and now, the playback doesn't stop anymore when cellular signal comes back in the subway.

Aug 20, 2015 6:28 AM in response to chrysbarby chrysbar,Well, I concluded too fast apparently! It did it again: curiously, it happens when I'm in the subway (where there is no cell signal) and when I arrive at the central station where a cell signal becomes available, that's where the music pauses; but when I get to the station where I go out, when the cell signal comes back, there is no interruption!!! I don't understand that at all!

Aug 20, 2015 5:53 PM in response to DigitalDougieby Scott Pick1,ThIs has been annoying me since day one of Apple Music. It doesn't matter if it's downloaded Apple Music or music I purchased, it pauses every time the cell signal changes. I did find a fix though- podcasts

Aug 20, 2015 8:08 PM in response to DigitalDougieby atom23,Yep, same problem here. It actually happened to me on my way to the subway (coincidence?) as in I was still above ground and had a signal. What a miserable fail though. I thought spotify's iOS app was lacking and buggy, but this is worse. I won't get in to the atrocious interface of the iOS music app here. Really disappointed and annoyed with Apple, and this is coming from a long-time Apple products user.

Aug 25, 2015 3:06 AM in response to DigitalDougieby jayhouse,This is still an issue for me too after the latest update. I have mobile data on for Music but every time I come into service after having no service my music pauses, even for downloaded songs from Apple Music and music that I actually own too.
This is an obvious bug which I'm staggered Apple can't fix, seriously considering not keeping Apple Music after the trial if this continues.

Aug 26, 2015 6:29 AM in response to DigitalDougieby patrickfromastoria,This happens to me on the subway as well, but only for music I have made available offline through Apple Music. When I enter a station that allows my phone to have a data connection (WIFI or Cellular), playback pauses. This does not happen with music I have previously purchased. The work-around I have been doing, is turning off cellular data and WIFI all together while on the subway. When doing this, the only time my music stops is when I get above ground and I turn my cell data back on.
I hope this fix this soon.

Sep 4, 2015 12:36 PM in response to patrickfromastoriaby chrysbar,It seems that writing in these Support Communities doesn't change anything. I called Customer Sercice, and since then, I have been in contact with a regular service person, who transferred me to a senior adviser who talked to me at least 6 or 7 times, (he told me that this was a new problem, even if I told him that many peole posted very similar situations on the Apple Support Communities)and now I am in contact with an engineer at Apple in California who is taking care of the situation. I strongly suggest that you call customer Service so they will know it's not just a few isolated guys like me who are making things up.

Sep 10, 2015 4:10 AM in response to DigitalDougieby RedvanRob,Same issue. Driving me bonkers. Apple need to sort this out or risk alienating the majority of consumers. Is this the arrogance of Apple in full view again?
