Apple music playback pause.(Signal Issue?)

Hi,

I have an issue with playback pausing when the iPhone signal service changes. Even with downloaded songs. I will start playing tunes saved on phone when out in my car and it will randomly pause. I reckon this has something to do with phone signal changing as it doesn't happen with airplane mode on.

These are downloaded songs so surely this shouldn't happen?

Any solutions?

Thanks,

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.2

I am with the same problem. I still didn't have the time to try this and see if it works, but I just found a possible solution:

Problem #2: Apple Music playback automatically pauses when connection type changes (LTE, 3G, 4G)

Have you noticed that when you go through an area where your service/ connection speeds change, Apple Music pauses and you have to hit play to resume playback even with offline streaming? Yeah, it’s kind of a quirky issue.

The Fix: Even if you are playing offline music, when away from a Wi-Fi connection you have to allow Apple Music to use cellular data for it to work properly. This can be done by going into Settings>Cellular> Music app and enable (set to green). This will prevent it from pausing during playback as you travel through different network connections.

I'm getting the same issue when out running - in my case I tracked it down to my iPhone connecting to public wireless networks that require a web login - it connects but has no web access, which seems to cause Apple Music to pause / stop playing.

Disabling wifi sorted it for me, but is obviously a pain, as would be turning off automatic wireless connection for my regular network.

Would be good to get this sorted properly!

I had the same issue and noticed it particularly when connected to a Bluetooth speaker. Multiple devices can attach to the same speaker and when any of them made a sound it would cause the iPhone to pause whatever it was playing. When Prevented other devices from connecting to the speaker at the same time as the iPhone the random pauses stopped. Hope this helps someone else.

I was reading some forums and stuff and apparently its that there could be something lodged in the jack, could be something very small, and the phone thinks you're in headset mode and thus keeps pausing. Because normally when you take your headphones out the music stops.

I have the same issue, and its really annoying. Its now IOS 10 and it hasn't been fixed

I am having the exact same issue, even with songs I've made available offline. I tried the suggestion above and I still have the problem. I called support and they told me to reboot the iPhone 5 and I still have the problem. It's a shame, because otherwise I love Apple Music and would absolutely continue on with it after the free trial, but if they don't fix this glitch it's a deal-breaker for me.

I have the same problem with offline music. The fix doesn't work(it's enabled by default), the only way is to switch to Airplane mode during my commute to/from work.

Looks like Music App is heavily relies on online content even if you made it 'Available for offline', the whole can freeze at some point if you're not connected to wifi/data.
