the light on my 2Tb time capsule won't come on
the light on my 2Tb time capsule turned off and the network connection dropped. I can however, hear that the disk drive is running.
I did press the reset button and nothing happened.

This is a typical failure of the Gen4 TC..
If it is over 3years old.. well you can but attempt the recovery by one of the means I listed on the website.. fair or foul..
The hard disk is likely still good.. so you can rescue it from the shell and still use it by installing in a USB enclosure.
If it is under 3years and you have applecare on a computer apple will replace it.
