How can I let my wife EDIT a shared Google calendar on her iPhone?

I have a Google calendar that I have shared with my wife. I've added it to her iPhone so she can see it, but it isn't letting her edit anything. Is this right?

It is an iPhone 4 and she's not updated the OS recently so is still on iOS6 I think but I don't see how that could be the issue.

Any advice or solutions would be great!
