Drive not spinning on Macbook Pro 13

My daughter's drive is dead. It does not click or spin at all. It is only 1 year old. Because of the fact that it does not spin at all I have to assume it's the PCB. I have read and seen that swapping the PCB brings the drive to life and allows you to retreive your data. Can anyone out there shed some light on this please?
