After downloading a podcast over wifi, I cannot play it when I am out of the range of WIFI. The ipod says "your device is not connected to the internet." I do not see why the podcast does not play if I have downloaded the podcast for offline playing. Any help? Thanks.
That means you have not downloaded the Podcast when you had internet. Yuu are just streaming it and that requires an internet connection. See the following it includes how to download Podcasts to the app

After completely downloading a podcast over wifi, I cannot play it when I am out of the range of WIFI... I downloaded the podcast and tested replay by shutting down iPod wifi and the message "must be connected to wifi to play" was shown. I tried erasing and downloading the podcast again to play and it did not work. The only way podcasts work offline for me is if if it is uploaded through computer.
What exactly happens when you open the Podcast app, tap the cloud icon by the podcast you want to listen to and let the podcast fully download?
I just did that on my iPhone 6 and when downloaded turned AirPlane mode on and the podcast played fine.
the podcast fully downloads. When trying to play the audio offline, it says an internet connection is required. This seems to happen with only one podcast, so it doesn't matter.
Then it seems somethng is wrong with that one podcast.
Or a problem with the file transfer. Would you like to try? So right now I could contact apple, the podcast uploader, or do nothing. Whatever.
