after updating to 8.04 my 5 s lost its mp3 songs and a couple of audiobooks that i paid for

AFTER UPDATING TO OS 8.04 MY MP3 MUSIC DISAPPEARED, AND SO DID A COUPLE OF AUDIOBOOKS THAT I BOUGHT AND PAID FOR FROM APPLE. WHAT GIVES. WHY DOES APPLE THINK ITS NECESSARY FOR ME TO SPEND HOURS OF MY TIME TO FIX PROBLEMS THAT DIDN'T EXIST BEFORE .

UPDATE

A WELL TRAINED AND POLITE APPLE TECH SPENT 45 MINUTES TELLING ME HOW "WE COULD FIX THIS AND MAKE THE PHONE WORK FOR ME.
