Q: I don't seem to be able to sync more than 1 album

Yesterday I synced a photo album of 93 pictures from my iMac to my iPad and I noticed that the photos I synced did not appear in my camera roll, today I attempted to sync a video album to my iPad, firstly it wiped the photos, fortunately I still have them on my iMac, secondly only 4 of the 6 videos in the album synced, the 2 which did not sync are very small just 48 seconds and 1:21 minutes. All these photos and videos originated from the iPad, I downloaded them to my iMac along with over 4,000 others and then cleared my iPad as all that stuff was slowing it down, I need these particular photos and videos back on my iPad as they from part of my artist portfolio which I wish to carry with me.

How can I get the photos and videos into my camera roll on the iPad and stay there?

Which software versions are you using on your iPad and on your Mac?  And how are you syncing the photos and videos to your iPad?

Are you syncing with iTunes or with My Photo Stream, Shared Albums, or iCloud Photo Library?

If you are using iTunes Photo Sync:  Photos you sync with iTunes will not appear in the Camera Roll, they are stored separately.  And you cannot add to synced albums.  Whenever you sync photos, the recently synced photos will be replaced by the new albums.  You have to select all albums at once, when you sync, see this link:    iTunes 11 for Mac: Set up syncing for iPod, iPhone, or iPad

To find the software version numbers:

    • To find the System version on your Mac, use the  menu in the upper left corner of the display.  Go to  > About this Mac.
    • To find the System version on your iPad use the Settings.ap.  Settings > General > About  http://help.apple.com/ipad/8/#/iPad63858994

Syncing with iTunes is a very good way to get Photos and videos to your iPad. (iTunes 11 for Mac: Set up syncing for iPod, iPhone, or iPad)

You just have to take the limitations into account.

    • You cannot add to synced content. When you sync, select all albums at once. Any new content you sync will replace the previous content.
    • Not all videos will sync.  iTunes will only upload videos that can be played on the iPad.
    • The synced content is not in the Camera Roll but in separate albums.
