Jul 8, 2015 9:54 AM in response to Phil0124by texles,Thank you so much. I have done this but it did not work. It is asking for my I-cloud password. When I enter it, it does not accept it. It will not do anything because of a "find my phone" setting. It will not reset.

Jul 8, 2015 10:11 AM in response to Phil0124by texles,I tried to restore it last night, it asks for me to turn off the "find my phone" feature. When I go to the settings and turn it off the phone asks for a password. The Icloud password does not work.

Jul 8, 2015 11:18 AM in response to Briansyddallby texles,Thanks Brian. I can sign in on other devices just fine with the apple id and password. Just not my new "6". If I can get past this "find my phone" password error I can restore and start over.

Jul 8, 2015 2:37 PM in response to texlesby MrHoffman,See if you can find the device using your Apple ID and password at iCloud.com, and then — if you really want to nuke the contents of this iPhone — select Erase from there. If that does not locate the device or the erase does not work, then there is no work-around for not knowing the Apple ID and password associated with the device, when it's been locked in this fashion. This is very much intentional, as this is obviously the same as the stolen-device sequence. If the Apple ID and password you have is not working here, then take the phone back to whomever you acquired it from — from Apple, from a carrier, or from some other entity. The folks at Apple or at the carrier — likely with the assistance of Apple — are the only folks that can reset this.
