Q: sense I have updated my iphone 6 to 8.4 my message aleert has changed and I can not change it back?

Change sounds, ringtones, and alerts on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
then you should try recovery mode
If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
then change the alerts afterwards

Jul 8, 2015 10:19 AMby Dshealy,When You go into settings under sounds it say that the tone I want to use is checked marked but then when you recieve a message it goes "ding" and I have tried changing it but it will not change at all it says it does by putting a check mark beside the one you choose but it still just goes "ding" when you recieve a message.
