I think I've had kernel panics

In the last 6 months I've had 3 times were my MacBook pro was completely freezes and doesn't respond to any key except the off and on button and when i shut the lid nothing happens and I'm assuming i've been getting kernel panics. But is 3 really that healthy? I've already done a SMC reset on a different occasion. 😐

thanks

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2), my favourite mac
