Q: My iPad photos appear in my iCloud.com account but do not show up in Photos. Why not?

I have all the iCloud Photo settings turned on in my Mac and on my iPad. When I take a photo with the iPad, I can access it via iCloud.com and my account, but I'd like it to show up in Photos. I know I can get it there if I export it from iCloud to my desktop and then drag it into Photos, but there has to be an easier way. Or maybe there isn't?

Thanks.

If all devices are using iCloud Photo Library and all are logged into the same Apple ID then all should see the same photos

Please share your exact setting with us

On my Mac: Preferences > iCloud > Photos > iCloud Photo Library AND Photo Stream

On my iPad: Settings > iCloud > iCloud Photo Library AND Upload to My Photo Stream.

I noticed I got a message on the iPad: "Verification to iCloud timed out." This could mean something, but I don't know what, or why it should time out.

On the iPad under settings ==> iCloud - verify the Apple ID and that everything looks good

and on the Mac under system settings ==> iCloud do the same - and verify that in the Photos preferences iCloud Photo Library is checked and that the status shows nothing is being uploaded (nothing is downloaded until the upload is complete)

Aha! It shows photos being uploaded! I bought more storage to put more photos in iCloud. I will wait until that is done. Thank you.
