Q: can several iPhones be backed up to my computer?

How can my daughter use my macbook pro to back up her old iPhone and transfer the info to the new phone without merging our information?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

As long as each iOS device has a unique name, the backups will be kept separate from each other.
