Kernel Panics since upgrade to OS X 10.10.4

I continue to have Kernel Panics since I upgraded to OS X 10.10.4. I upgraded with no problems on 6/30/2015 (Also upgraded to Xcode Dev 6.4 on 6/30/2015) Starting on 7/3 Kernel Panic, 7/5 twice, 7/8 and 7/9. I believe all of the Kernel Panics happen when the MBA is in sleep mode. When my MBA is hooked up to the various peripherals the Wifi is turned off and the MBA is hooked up to a USB to Ethernet cable. In past posts I've seen supposed issues with Antivirus software. I do run Sophos 9.2.7 Home Edition.

Thanks, I'll first remove the Sophos and see if that is the source of the problem. But are you saying remove the driver for the USB to Ethernet cable? Because if I turn off the USB to Enet and unplug it won't that be the same? It should only load when it is active and attached.

You need to test it so it is not loaded, either by removing it or unplugging it. I would also try a restart after removal.

That is most likely a hardware fault on en3 which I suspect is your USB to Ethernet adaptor.

You also appear to have TRIM Enabler installed which doesn't make much sense with an Apple branded SSD. Or, did you disable kext signing to use the USB to Ethernet adaptor.

Thanks, Barney and Eric. No Kernel panic so far and the MBA has been up for day and half. I tend to think it is the USB to Enet adaptor since it's shield started coming off. I have a Thunderbolt to Enet adaptor but don't have enough ports since I installed the G-Tech 4T HDD. I'm looking for a dock with extra thunderbolt ports.

As for the TRIM Enabler I don't have another SSD, but could this be the reason:

Since it hacks Apple's kexts, it most likely disabled kext signing. I would assume you will have a problem with every OS update, at the least.

Just because you have a kernel panic doesn't mean it is the same problem. Hijacking a thread just makes it difficult to help both people.

Yours appears to be a hardware problem. While Micron makes good RAM, I can't find anywhere that indicates that particular model is spec'd for Apple products.

I will keep that in mind but I think I went through another upgrade before without a problem since I disabled Kext signing. It's been over 5 days up without a kernel panic so I'm sure it's the ethernet cable. Thank you all again for the help.
