Add button not visible in iTunes file sharing

This is about sharing files on iPad. Suddenly the add and save buttons which should be at the bottom right of my screen cannot be seen and I can't drag the screen up to make them visible. They seem to be 'behind' the sync bar that runs along the foot of the screen.
