How do I get music to work the way it used to before iOS 8.4 on my iPhone 5S? I can't make it play more than 1 song, and I don't see the "random play" button. ***, Apple?

I recently upgraded my iPhone 6S to iOS 8.4. The biggest changes, as far as I can tell, is in music. I am not interested in Apple Radio or or Apple Music. All I want is that my music play the way it used to, so that when I'm running or working out I don't have to stop and choose a new song one at a time. In other words, how do I get my music to play with "random selection" the way it used to? For my purposes, iOS 8.4 is cluttered and clumsy and not at all intuitive.

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.4, Music won't play randomly.

Once in My Music use the drop down menu to select Songs and start playing any song. Now click the Mini Player (toward the bottom of the screen) to show the album art of the currently playing song. Click the Shuffle icon at the bottom and your songs will be played in random order.

This works for playing music by an artist, by album, and by genre as well.

Lastly, you can also ask Siri to do the same thing. "Shuffle all my music" "Play some rock music" "Shuffle all songs by The Beatles"
