Q: how can i archive old email to my Mac so it no longer uses iCloud storage

I do I reduce iCloud storage by archiving old email to my mac. Thanks

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Show the mailbox list if necessary (from the 'View' menu). In the Mail application create a new mailbox under 'On My Mac'. Then open your iCloud mailbox. Select some messages and drag them to your new mailbox - wait for them to download. They will be removed from iCloud. Continue doing that - I shouldn't try to move too many at a time.

    i'm the same procedure but moving the emails to an gmail account. my ssd is only 256Gb, and all emails avaiable in the cloud.
