They can be ignored or turn off Time Machine and restart your MBP.

Jul 10, 2015 2:39 AM in response to fenix7848by OGELTHORPE,I would urge you to re-read the two links I posted. In essence, the backup will be deleted by the OSX if space is needed for other data so that they do not pose a real problem filling the HDD space.
If you turn Time Machine off, the backups will start to be deleted.
