Q: displaying titles by author

When displaying audiobooks, sorted by author, selecting an author should display all relevant titles by that author - latest iTunes 12.2.0.145 does NOT display anything!! Is this a config issue on my part (first time I have encountered this) or have the code monkeys broken something!!
